The idea for the foundation of the 2CV and Citroen Club is not Greek.
There are hundreds of 2CV Clubs all over the world, founded many years
ago. CITROEN’s odd creations, from the luxuriant «DS» to the
ever-lasting bi-cylinders, have won the hearts of everybody that has
loved them. In Hellas, where, due to the condition of the roads,
the safety and the comfort while driving depends very much on the
car, CITROEN’s original suspension excited many people and soon became
very popular.
The initiative for the foundation of the Club belongs to people with
long history in the fields of car
and motorcycle racing.

The first contacts and meetings were made back in 1985 and the statute of the Club was confirmed in the beginning
of 1986, which is officially the time of the Club’s formation.
Our very first activity
was an excursion during the Christmas of 1985. The crews of four 2CVs, two PONYs and one VISA stayed at the refuge of Flambouri which
is situated on mountain Parnitha, at an altitude of 1252 m.
In September 1986, when a Club house at Poligono, Athens, was leased, the Club found its permanent home. Until then, the meetings of the
members and their friends were held at the traditional ouzo selling bar that belonged to member Kostas Tsatsomaridis and was situated
at Tavros, another part of Athens. Soon other friends joined the team - today, some of them are with us only with their hearts.
Today the Club counts about
200 members
and is administered by a Board of Directors that consists of five members and is elected every three years by the Assembly of all the
members. At the same time are elected the Inspection Committee and the Disciplinary Committee, each of which consists of three members.

Many other members, in the various teams and groups of the Club,
work around them and with them. All of them have given and are
still giving a big part of their time (and often their savings)
for our Club. They have neglected their jobs and families, they
have worked overnight, they have done countless miles and they
are always ready to repeat all of it when it is needed.
In its long history the Club is proud to present a big
number of activities (excursions and trips, races and games,
technical seminars and parties) and five groups (
Racing,
Excursions,
Technical,
Adventure and
Activities
). In the
next pages you can see information about the activities
of each group.
The subscription is 84 euros per year for the members from Attica, and 42 euros for the members from the rest of the country.
A new member have to own a 2cv and to fill in an application for the Board of Directors.
New members from Attica can fill in this application in our offices, new members from the rest of the country have to contact us.
There is also a 5 euros payment for new members.
